Abstract

The purpose of the present study was to explore the role of positive schooling in the personality development and enhancement of subjective well-being (SWB) in Pakistani children. The study used a purposive sampling strategy to collect data from 16 participants from five schools, including 8 children (4 boys & 4 girls) studying in class 9th and 10th, and their parents (4 mothers & 4 fathers). The research objectives were to gather opinions from children and parents about their schools and investigate the role of schooling in personality development and SWB. Semi-structured interviews were conducted, and data were analyzed using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). Major themes included interactive class environment, proficient teaching staff, and overall satisfaction with school, highlighting the positive effects of schooling on cognition, behavior, and social skills of children. These effects were identified as contributing factors in personality development, ultimately enhancing the subjective well-being of children.
